You bend to sit next to her, and see she’s sliced her palm open with the hunting knife, squeezing the blood into the muddy green moss; you don’t think, you just offer your own hand to her. It doesn’t even really hurt, not until later, until the ribbon torn from the hem of Laura Lee’s dress has soaked through with blood, until Tai looks at the cut, worried, and you can only mutter, “Cooking accident,” like you’ve had anything to cook at all.
“Do you think we’re being punished?” you had asked Lottie, and she had taken your hand and kissed it.
“Not anymore,” she had said, and her teeth were covered in your blood.

Season 2 getting a soundtrack.

It arrives on CD and digitally on September 1, via Universal Music Canada, with 2xLP vinyl editions to follow in the coming months. The soundtrack features classics by several ’90s alt-rock artists including Nirvana, the Cranberries, Elliott Smith, Garbage, and Veruca Salt. New music on the soundtrack includes two versions of Alanis Morissette’s cover of the series theme song, an original track by series guest star John Cameron Mitchell featuring Elijah Wood, and Florence and the Machine’s cover of No Doubt’s “Just a Girl.”
